Q:  What makes you different from other videographers?

A:  There are three things that make us stand out from the crowd:

1)  The quality of the video.  We don't mean just the use of the superior digital format, as many others use this too.  We believe that our creativity and the uniquely personal way we tell your story sets us apart.  Just as there’s no other couple like you, your video will not be like any other.

2) We are committed to do all that is necessary to produce the highest quality video possible: from the initial interviews with you to get your input and desires, to our strong attention to detail and professionalism on the wedding day, to our superior craftsmanship during the editing and final production process.

3)  In addition to our solid technical background and experience in video production, we bring over twenty-six years of experience working with people and conducting interviews, with a special talent for putting subjects at ease.

Q:  Why should we consider a video when we have hired a photographer?

A:  This is certainly a personal choice, but we recommend hiring both a photographer and a professional video service.  A lot of special things happen during your wedding day.  While photos capture many special moments, video can catch all of those moments, as well as everything that happens in between.  Video also captures the special sounds of the day – the music you carefully selected, the speeches and comments made by family and friends, the sentiments shared between the two of you – which photography simply cannot do.  Videotapes are often easier (and less expensive) to share with friends and family than are albums full of photos, and offer those who could not attend the wedding the opportunity to experience it all as if they were there.  And a professional video is guaranteed not to yellow with age!

Q:  Can't we just use a friend or family member who has a great new camcorder?

A:  Having a friend or family member do this for you could leave you disappointed and with a video that remains buried in a closet or drawer for years.  For starters, consider whether they have the know-how and all of the equipment needed to make a high-quality professional video.  Will they be able to set up and shoot in various locations throughout the day, while staying unobtrusive and maintaining the type of lighting and sound quality needed to get good results?  Will they have the additional stamina and time required to edit your video, and weave in the music and still photos you would like included?  Can you trust them to maintain the story line, while cutting down the running time of the video to a “watchable” length?  And finally, while it’s a very generous offer, would they prefer to enjoy the festivities themselves, rather than spend the entire time videotaping them as they unfold?

Q:  How do we know you will make something that we will be happy with?

A:  We work with you extensively, meeting with you and gathering information so that we understand you as a couple, as well as your needs and desires.  We review the details of your wedding with you so that we are aware of all the fine points of the day.  We also attend the rehearsal to meet the other members of the wedding party and the officiant, and to orchestrate our placement during the ceremony.  We maintain an open dialogue with you in the time before and after your wedding to ensure that we understand your wishes.

Q:  Who will be in charge of the videotaping of our event?

A:  You can always count on Mike Manor and/or Nicole Meyer Vasilou, the creators of Midnite Mouse Productions, to be the lead camera operators and contact persons for your event.

Q:  What kind of equipment do you use?

A:  We shoot all of our videos with digital cameras, and the final product is edited in digital format using state-of-the-art, broadcast-quality video editing equipment, (the same equipment used by some television and broadcast studios).  Digital format is the highest level format available.  Working in digital format, there's virtually no loss of quality during copying or editing. Therefore, your final product, the master tape, is as clear and pristine as the original tape footage. This ensures that there is only a slight loss of quality when you transfer your video to VHS format.  Of course, should you choose a DVD copy, your video will have no quality loss at all.

Q:  How many video cameras will be capturing our event?

A:  We always have two separate camera operators shooting at all times. This way we can literally be in two places at once, catching reactions from two different angles or moments that might not otherwise have made it onto tape.

Q:  We're concerned:  might you get in the way or be somewhat intrusive during the ceremony?

A:  Good question. This is one of the reasons we work so extensively with you beforehand. We can then plan our setup to be in the best position to capture your wedding day fully, while not getting in the way for you or your guests.  If you desire to have us be more visible, such as being at the altar for close-ups, we will have worked those details out with you beforehand so that there are no surprises.

Q:  What if our ceremony gets started late, or runs over its scheduled time?

A:  That will be no problem. Our commitment is to you and your special day. We realize things like this happen so we've built our time commitment around that - whatever it takes to capture your event for as long as it takes, within reason, and as agreed upon by the package you’ve selected.

Q:  When can we expect the finished product?

A:  This is very important - both for you and for us. Obviously, you would like your video as soon as possible, while we want to give the final product as much time and attention as it deserves.  The final production and editing process can be quite time-consuming as we work hard to produce a video that evokes the sentiment and emotional impact of your special day. Therefore, even though our goal is to get the video to you as soon as possible, realistically it will take four to eight weeks, depending on the package you have ordered.

Q:  Will we take part in the editing process?

A:  Part of our expertise, and a reason why you would hire us, is our ability to tell your unique story, which is largely created during the editing process.  We will spend a lot of time with you prior to the big day eliciting your ideas and wishes for the videotape, but then we hope you will trust our creative instincts to deliver a polished final product that meets your expectations and brings you years of enjoyment.  If, for whatever reason, you are not satisfied with the final tape, we will consult with you and spend up to two hours making additional edits to your video.

Q:  How many copies do we receive?  Are they VHS tapes or DVDs?

A:  You will receive five copies of your video in the VHS format, usable by all VCRs. You may also purchase DVD copies for $15.99 per DVD.

Q:  What if we need extra copies later on?

A:  We always maintain a digital master copy for you so you can order more copies in the future.  The cost is $10 per VHS copy (for up to five copies) and $6 per VHS copy (for six or more copies). DVDs may be purchased for $15.99 per DVD.
